UXC Connect appoints Wayne Banks as new Finance Director

Sydney, Australia - Leading Australian ICT infrastructure solutions and services company, UXC Connect has announced a key new hire for the newly merged infrastructure group, appointing Wayne Banks as the new Finance Director.
Effective immediately, Banks’ new role is to ensure the integrity of financial information across all UXC Connect’s operations, and that the company retains uniformity and stability following the recent merger on July 1, 2011.
Banks aims to sustain and grow UXC Connect’s strong financial position in the market, as well as explore new avenues to drive and expand its financial success. Banks has chosen the role due to the company’s ongoing growth and business diversity, and he believes will contribute to the business’ success and help drive it to new heights.
“I am very excited about working with such an innovative company, which offers its customers a broad ranging, competitive skillset and solutions portfolio,” said Banks. “I believe my extensive financial experience in the IT industry will complement the senior management team and its future direction, and I look forward to working closely with our customers in my new role with UXC Connect.”
According to Ian Poole, CEO of UXC Connect, Banks is a great fit for UXC Connect and his wealth of experience, across both the local and international financial landscape, will help to grow and strengthen the company.

From my point of view, he will bring new and fresh insights to the business, tapping into his wealth of experience gained from the array of previous roles he has held in the ICT and finance industries,” he said.
Banks’ career spans 23 years and his most recent role was CFO and VP at CSC Australia and New Zealand. In this role Banks showed exemplary leadership skills and vision, paving the way for the company’s successful financial performance. He worked in a range of roles at CSC, from Commercial Finance Manager to Director Consulting and Innovation Services. Prior to this he was Financial Controller at Sterling Software. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
